Requests for quotes are best submitted by email to sales@lazrcutting.com. Please feel free to call us at 205-639-7421 if you have any questions.
To laser cut a part, a vector line drawing is required. If you have a file in any of the following formats, we should be able to cut directly from the file without issue:
- AI, DXF, PLT, Gerber, LXD, DWG
If you have a file in a different format, or even just a drawing on notebook paper, contact us and we will figure out how to get your drawing into a format that can be cut.
What to include for a quick quote
In order for us to quickly return your quote, please provide as much information as you can about what you need. Necessary information includes:
- Material (steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, etc)
- Material grade (hot rolled, cold rolled, pickled and oiled, galvanized, etc)
- Material thickness (thickness capacity varies by material type)
- Quantity of each part
- cut quality required
- cut tolerance required
- other services required
Quoting standards
All jobs will be quoted at high cut quality unless otherwise specified. Default cut precision is 0.005" unless otherwise specified. A36 hot rolled steel will be the default material quoted unless otherwise specified. All cutting is quoted "as-is" off the machine. Some laser cut parts will have dross or slag that needs to be cleaned on one side of the cut. Different degrees of part cleaning are offered as an additional service. No guarantee can be made for handling wear or scratches on material, unless protected material is specified.
